   BELGRADE   The oldest settlement in the Belgarde area dates back to 5000 B.C. Later on, the region was inhabited by Illyrians, Celts and Romans. Slavs arrived here in the 7th century. Belgrade is first mentioned in Slavic name Beil Grad (White City ) in written records of the 9th century.

   The Saint  Sava street. In the background, the biggest orthodox church in the world, church of Sveti Sava, 70m high. The building of the church was started at 1935, after the plan of architects Bogdan Nestorovic and Aleksandar Derocco. After long intermission, the building of the church was continued 1985,under supervision of the architect Branko Pesic.
